Privacy
Policy.

This policy explains how Venturs handles personal information when you visit this website, contact us, apply for membership, or otherwise interact with the community.

Last updated 7 August 2026

1. Who is responsible

Venturs is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to contact@venturs.tech.

2. Information we receive

We receive information that you choose to include in a membership application or email, such as your name, email address, role, organisation, professional background, and the context of your enquiry. If you participate in the community, we may also hold correspondence, attendance information, preferences, and notes needed to administer your participation.

When this static website is requested, our hosting infrastructure may receive technical data such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security or diagnostic logs.

3. How applications work

The membership form does not send information to a Venturs database. Submitting it prepares a draft in your device’s email application. Nothing reaches Venturs until you choose to send that email. Your email provider and Venturs’ email provider then process the message under their own terms and privacy practices.

4. How we use information

  • To review and respond to applications and enquiries.
  • To assess community fit and administer membership or event participation.
  • To organise relevant gatherings and communicate operational information.
  • To maintain community safety, confidentiality, and standards.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
  • To meet legal obligations and protect legitimate rights.

Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, we rely on steps requested before entering an arrangement, performance of an arrangement, legitimate interests in operating a considered community, compliance with law, or consent where specifically requested.

5. When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, email, security, and community administration, only as reasonably necessary for those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or rights, or in connection with a genuine reorganisation of the community’s operations.

People you meet through Venturs receive only the information appropriate to a gathering or introduction. We do not promise that another participant will keep information confidential, so share sensitive information with care and follow the applicable participation rules.

6. International processing

Online services can process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use recognised safeguards for international transfers. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your information.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including application review, community administration, safety, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the nature of the relationship and correspondence. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.

8. Cookies and analytics

Venturs does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioural analytics, or site-set marketing cookies. Essential hosting and security infrastructure may process request data or use necessary technical mechanisms to deliver and protect the site. If this changes materially, this policy will be updated.

9. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the information we handle. No email or internet service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send highly sensitive information unless specifically requested and an appropriate method has been agreed.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also be entitled to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email contact@venturs.tech. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. Children

Venturs is intended for adults acting in a professional capacity and is not directed to children. Please do not submit information if you are under 18.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the website and community develop. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably appropriate. For privacy questions, contact contact@venturs.tech.
